Exciting win: digital transformation at PersoPoint wins SAP Customer Success Award
The constructive partnership between DG PersoPoint and SD Worx is racking up awards. In 2023, this colossal HR implementation project took home the HR Excellence Award for ‘Best HR system Integrator’ and the SAP Best of Customer Success Award. It’s a recognition of our innovative applications PersoPay and PersoExpenses. What’s more: thanks to the project’s great success, we built additional functionalities for it in 2023.
Previously: the best partner for the project
In 2016, SD Worx partnered up with DG PersoPoint, the shared service center for personnel and payroll administration of the Belgian federal government, for their HR transformation project using SAP and, among other solutions, the SAP Business Technology Platform.
The goal of the project was to integrate the personnel and payroll administration of over 75,000 federal government workers from 59 agencies and provide a common and uniform range of services, increasing efficiency, quality and cost savings.
A fruitful collaboration in numbers
By the end of 2023, PersoPay processed the salaries of 76,000+ government workers.
With PersoPay, the number of recalculations decreased by more than 80%.
Implementing digital paychecks saves just under a million euros a year.
SD Worx SAP solutions ticked all DG PersoPoint’s boxes. Thanks to the combination of SAP technical expertise, solid HR and payroll knowledge and a constructive mindset, we proved to be the best strategic partner to develop PersoPay, a high-performance SAP payroll engine. Our successful collaboration soon led to an additional project: PersoExpenses, a user-friendly HR self-service tool, which we enhanced by building extra functionalities in 2023.
PersoPay
PersoPay is the new payroll engine for the federal government, centralising all key government employee data that impacts their compensation (go-live in 2020).

PersoExpenses allows all federal government employees to easily submit their own claims for compensation and allowances (go-live in 2022).
Hard work gets recognised
In October 2023, DG PersoPoint and SD Worx were awarded the Bronze Best of Customer Success Award 2023 by SAP in the category ‘Digital Pioneer’ for our work on the PersoPay and PersoExpenses applications. The award honours customers who excel in planning and executing SAP implementations that achieve measurable benefits, and stands as a testament to their commitment to innovation and efficiency. Earlier, in March 2023, the intense collaboration between DG PersoPoint and SD Worx had already won ‘Best HR system integrator’ at the Belgian HR Excellence Awards.
