In the clouds: SD Worx is Belgium’s second-largest SaaS supplier

Software-as-a-service (SaaS) – where software is accessed online through a subscription rather than being bought and installed on individual computers – continues to advance on the Belgian market. SD Worx is on top of the SaaS game, second only to Microsoft.

Over the past few years, the adoption of cloud solutions has gained momentum in Belgium and worldwide. Nearly a decade ago, only a small percentage of enterprises turned to the cloud and SaaS solutions to manage their businesses (13%). Eight years later, this has grown to no less than 64%, according to the recent figures of the Belgium Cloud Barometer, published by Smart Profile.

Office and HR are the most popular

Office and HR services are undoubtedly the most popular cloud application areas, making up more than 60% of all listed services. Looking at the figures, Microsoft is still the most prevalent SaaS supplier in Belgium, covering 59.1% of the market.

In good company

SD Worx claims a deserving second place, with our HR cloud applications accounting for 16% of all listed SaaS solutions in Belgium. Salesforce completes the top three, covering 10% of SaaS services. The gap between SD Worx and Microsoft is still wide, but when it comes to HR cloud applications, SD Worx is in pole position.
